Addison had her first ever dance class today! For almost 4 years now, she has been going to big brothers extra-curricular activities and now, it's time for her to try something out! Which means Mommy is feeling more and more like a taxi everyday. :) But I love it! She is taking beginner tap and ballet. I didn't know how she would do...she really has had little exposure to "dance". We checked out some books at the library to read so that she could learn a little bit about it and so she could look at the pictures in the books. But, when her teacher dismissed class and opened the door, Addison came running out to me and the first thing she said, with a big grin on her face, was "can I do this again next week?!" Which, I was glad to hear, considering I have already agreed to a 16 week semester. :) I think my question of how she would do was answered...she loved it. Here are some pictures from her first day at dance!
At home, dressed and ready to go...
A hug from big brother...
We're here...
Time to go home after a successful first class! ...I have to add that it was so sweet how Weston got "into" it. He kept wanting to peek through the door (parents and siblings wait in a waiting area outside the classroom) so that he could get a glimpse of his sister and see what she was doing. He kept saying, "yep...she's doing this, or yep...she's doing that"! I could tell he was proud of her. He asked her alot of questions when she came out at the end, too. :)
We're already excited for next weeks lesson!
